History of the climbing mug

The idea to put a climbing hold onto a mug was not thought up by myself. I can’t remember which site I saw it on but once I saw it – I knew I had to get my hands on one. I was disappointed that they weren’t available for sale anywhere. I at first pursued some of the tutorials found online : but knocking handles off with hammers left nubs on the coffee cup and it was hard to glue a hold on. After quite a lot of research and trial and error I was able to come up with the cups you see on climbergoods. If you are going to try to DIY your own mug: I recommend getting your handles from www.etsy.com/shop/crimpme.
